Building on over 30 years of experience in CINEMA DSP processing in home cinema products to transform two-channel listening into a multi-channel experience, Yamaha has developed the 3D Sound Field which through HRTF (Head Related Transfer Function) technology is able to detect the audio source used and synthesize the two-channel binaural audio transforming it into a three-dimensional sound space.
Its advanced active noise cancellation uses a new approach in which ambient noise is suspended without applying processing to the music signal that causes a loss of low musical frequencies.
A particular algorithm listens to the combined music and noise signals, managing to separate the signal processing for background noise and music.
The signal captured by the internal microphone analyzes the noise and calculates what should be removed from the music playback signal to allow for noise cancellation only. In this way there is no need to process the musical signal and the music retains all its purity.
