Produced in only 2000 pieces, the Tag Heuer X Super Mario Limited Edition smartwatch is a special version of the well-known Connected luxury smartwatch with a customization that celebrates the Nintendo mascot.
The Tag Heuer luxury smartwatch comes with a classy red packaging and focuses heavily on fine materials and very interesting Wear OS customizations to stimulate the user to stay fit. The idea behind it is that of the so-called gamification of rewards: Mario says good morning with a greeting in the morning and from that moment on we set off towards a sort of daily adventure based on the number of steps completed.
At each stage of the daily movement goal set, Mario performs an animation just as if he were moving inside a video game. The progress bar follows the circumference of the dial, with intermediate milestones featuring well-known icons such as the Super Mushroom making Mario grow at three o’clock, the Fast-travel Tube at six o’clock, the Super Star making him invincible at nine and the end-of-level flagstick at 12 o’clock. The dimensions are identical to the past, including the 45mm dial.
The hardware relies on GPS, water resistance up to 5 atmospheres, 430 mAh battery and heart rate monitor. On the case stand out the notches and buttons in red as well as the logo with the letter M on the crown.
Moreover, there are four digital dials such as the retro and pixelated one called Timekeeping”which pays homage to the first version of Super Mario Bros. from 1985.
In the package you will find two interchangeable straps. The first, already assembled, in black leather on red rubber and the second sports one in perforated red rubber.
The Tag Heuer X Super Mario Limited Edition smartwatch will be available from July 15 only at selected Tag Heuer boutiques as well as on the official website.
