OnePlus has officially launched the 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition model, known also as Netrunner Edition. The smartphone was presented in partnership with CD Projekt RED, but unfortunately it is only available for the Chinese market. Technically there is no difference from the stock model, except for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The phone is still made out of metal and glass, though it does adopt a new CMF design, and a special snow AG glass finish.
The most noticeable part of the device is certainly the top of the back panel that resembles a window housing the camera array with the texts “NETRUNNER EDITION”, “2077”, “NEURAL CONNECTION STATUS: ACTIVE” and an enigmatic barcode from the game.
On the rest of the panel, there is a forged carbon fiber texture with Cyberpunk 2077 engraving.
But the differences don’t end there. Indeed the customization is also software and it is equally amazing. The OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition features two additional camera filters, called “North California” and “Night City” to take tech-looking shots. In addition there is even a complete theme with wallpapers, lock screen and AOD (always on display) style, all obviously based on the graphics of the game.
The icing on the cake, we also find a cover and a series of pins that add exclusivity to the whole package.
Before you despair because it is not for sale in your country, my advice is to take a ride on ebay. If you are willing to lighten your wallet, you will easily find someone who will be happy to ship it directly from China.
