Now let’s find out about his incredible battlestation in detail with a short interview.

Hi Carson! Thank you for accepting the interview.
To start, please tell us where you come from and how old you are.

I’m from a small town in New Hampshire, and I’m 19 years old.

What do you do with your computer?
Currently using the system for commercial Model Rendering, Gaming, Streaming, and Photo/Video editing.

When did you start optimizing your workstation?
I’ve always been into clean workspaces since my very first setup, but really got serious about it early 2019 when I found techsource youtube channel and wanted to submit to “setup wars” a series of theirs.

What fundamental characteristics must a good battlestation have?
Doing something unique makes a setup stand out so much over others, everyone today is doing lian li o11 / corsair 4000d / Phanteks pc builds, and ikea desk with rgb strips on the back that are all copies of each other just doing  the same thing over and over.

What are the strengths of your workstation?
My current office is nice due to the large desk there is plenty of room to work with. My monitors being stacked benefit me greatly, they each have their own use and prior to stacked they were side by side and my neck was constantly turned toward one depending on what I was doing. Now I just lean my chair back one notch if I need to use the top monitor for long periods of time or just use it here and there for folders/music/2ndary apps. Looking up here and there is much more comfortable than side to side.

Have you already thought about the next evolutions?
I’m in the midst of moving rooms into a totally new space that will blow the old setup out of the water!! Its still early stages and hope to have it finished by the end of the year, but there will be 2 stations one productivity one gaming, and plenty of large windows, compared to my old basement office!

Tell us about your current equipment!
My hardware is basically end game for me personally, I’m not a huge fan of ultrawides or curved monitors , but both the ones I have currently are top of their game in their respective fields, I have slowly upgraded each section of gear from monitors.  Audio, custom keyboard, to chair throughout the past few months as I prepped for the move.
